Our university, aware that a modern university is built not only through quality education but also through social activities, leads the way in organizing numerous events in this regard. Throughout the academic year, seminars, symposiums, conferences, panels, and discussions on various topics are held.
Social, cultural, and sporting activities organized by our students’ clubs are supported by our university. Every year in May, our university holds its traditional spring festival. The fair, sports tournaments, fashion shows, and performances held as part of the festival are met with great enthusiasm.
Our university, which aims to nurture well-rounded individuals, also places great emphasis on cultural and artistic activities. The Atatürk Cultural Center, M. Rıza Çerçel Cultural Center, and halls located in our academic units are used for such events. Our halls have the capacity and equipment to accommodate all kinds of cultural and artistic activities of our students and faculty members. Our students can also watch movies at the cinemas in Afyonkarahisar.
All of our campuses have sports facilities that enable our students to participate in sports, and our young athletes can play sports in the teams that have been formed. Our students can play football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, athletics, rhythmic gymnastics, step climbing, boxing, wrestling, taekwondo, and karate, and they join teams to participate in tournaments.
